As churches begin to return to on-site worship gatherings, your elders and ministers are in deep prayer and discussion about the timing and format for returning to the building. We expressed to you that the work is continuing and that the church was never closed during this period of being physically apart. However, we understand the importance and desire within us to be together. We recently asked for your input by completing a survey expressing your feelings about returning and many participated. The feedback was helpful and we thank each of you for taking the time to complete the survey and respond constructively.
Though our most recent decision is to not have any on-site worship gatherings through June 21, we encourage you to find opportunities, within current guidelines, to meet in your Small Groups, call another family or two to join in communion or create other forms of physical fellowship together. Several groups have already done this and we encourage you to do so, as well, if you are comfortable.
We will have more information soon about our plans beyond June 21. Until then, we ask that you continue in prayer for us and our ministers as we work through these decisions.
