The elders announced Sunday, September 27, that that David Head is transitioning out of the eldership.
We want to be clear: this is a positive change for David and his family. He’s stated to us on more than one occasion recently that serving as elder was “a humbling, learning, spiritually-developing, life-changing experience that made me want to be better in every way.”
As for us, we feel the same way about our time serving with David. Partnering with him made us better and we will be forever thankful for our time together in leadership.
We already miss him, but his service at Hendersonville is not ending. Transitioning away from this role allows him more time with his family while still being a vital part of our family at Hendersonville.
If you have other questions, the elders are always available. We encourage you to talk to David, as well, and also offer him your prayers and thanks.
