Message From the Elders

On behalf of all your elders, we want to provide a few updates as we enjoy a beautiful Spring and look forward to a promising Summer.

The Elders and Staff continue discussion and prayer about how and when we offer our Worship Gatherings and classes. We are considering how best to accommodate those meeting in-person, and of equal importance, accommodate those joining us online.

Regarding our in-person gatherings, we want to build and refresh our database of men willing to serve by reading scripture and leading prayers, and sharing communion thoughts around the Lord’s Table. If this is something you desire to do, or if you have served in this way in the past and have recently started attending in person and would like to serve again, contact Tony Brimingham or the Church Office.

As we announced in December when we believe that it is a safe and wise decision, we are moving to a single Sunday morning Worship Gathering at 9am, Classes at 10am, and discontinuing the 11am Worship Gathering option. Many have also asked about returning to in-person Classes for Adults. We anticipate these changes to happen soon; however, we are still in prayer over the exact date, listening to God’s direction as we navigate these tumultuous times. There is a multitude of coordination issues, opinions, and practical items to consider. Thank you for your patience and prayers over these things as well.

Your elders and staff are optimistic and excited about the opportunities that 2021 provides to reflect Jesus as we serve and teach each other, our community, and the world. Our Church finances are in good shape to accommodate this – thank you, as always, for your generosity – and we look forward to the challenges before us.

Finally, our search for a new Student Minister is moving forward as planned. After spending the last several weeks meeting with and listening to students, parents, and volunteers, we are completing the work of casting a vision for the student ministry and the potential student ministers that God will bring to us. We are on schedule and will have more information available to you as soon as we have it.

As always, if you have any questions, please let us know. We thank you for your support and prayers. May God’s blessings be on all of us.
