His Story

The Bible is the sacred book for Christians – their holy scriptures. However, the Bible can be incredibly intimidating. Anyone who attempts to read it through can easily walk away wondering how it all fits together.

Perhaps to the surprise of some, there is a remarkable unity and overarching message to the Bible. The sermons throughout 2020 examine passages that summarize the story of scripture, helping us discover that His story is, in reality, our story.

To help us in this journey, we are challenging everyone to commit to memorizing 52 passages – one for each week of the year. Accepting this challenge gives you a clear vision of His Story and how your story is a part of it.

The psalmist once wrote:

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night Psalms 1:1–2 [NIV]
